## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING INSTRUCTION MANEUVERS AT 2500 FEET, ENGINE BEGAN TO RUN ROUGH. PILOT ELECTED TO LAND THE AIRCRAFT IN A PLOWED FARM FIELD. THE LANDING WAS UNEVENTFUL UNTIL THE NOSE GEAR TOUCHED DOWN IN THE SOFT DIRT, AT THIS TIME THE AIRCRAFT NOSED OVER AND CAME TO REST ON ITS BACK.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA10LA187](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA10LA187), Mar 24, 2010: Cessna 152 (N93441), Moore, SC, substantial damage. Probable cause: The certificated mechanic's improper installation of a helicoil, which resulted in the separation of a sparkplug and the helicoil and led to a partial loss of engine power.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
