## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE EN ROUTE FROM EL MONTE, CA (EMT) TO WOODLAND, CA (O41), THE AIRCRAFT LOST ELECTRICAL POWER AND DIVERTED TO BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL (L45). THE PIC LOWERED THE GEAR USING THE NORMAL GEAR LEVER. THE PIC ENSURED THE GEAR WAS POSITIVELY LOCKED DOWN BY THE RESISTANCE OF THE EMERGENCY HANDCRANK BEING EXTREMELY HARD. UPON LANDING, THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED DAMAGING THE NOSE GEAR AREA SHEET METAL, NOSE DOORS, NOSE STRUT AND THE PROPELLER. A MECHANIC TROUBLESHOT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND FOUND AN INOPERABLE ALTERNATOR. MECHANIC REPLACED ALTERNATOR AND ELECTRICAL PROBLEM WAS CORRECTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
