## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING LANDING TOUCH DOWN ON RUNWAY 22 AT CALDWELL AIRPORT, NJ (KCDW) THE PILOT NOTICED THE AIRCRAFT PULLING RIGHT AND STRUGGLED TO MAINTAIN THE AIRCRAFT ON THE RUNWAY. APPROXIMATELY 1000 FEET FROM TOUCH DOWN THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE RUNWAY AND CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP WITH ALL THREE LANDING GEAR ON THE GRASS AT THE RUNWAYS EDGE. THE PILOT REPORTED THAT HE "GREASED THE LANDING" AND INSPECTION OF THE TIRE REVEALED NO DAMAGE AND NO TREAD LOSS DUE TO SKIDDING. FURTHER INSPECTION OF THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR TIRE AND TUBE REVEALED A SMALL CUT IN THE TIRE TUBE WITH NO APPARENT OR MATCHING CUT OR HOLE IN THE TIRE ITSELF. THE PILOT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO NOISE OF A BLOWN TIRE UPON LANDING JUST AN IMMEDIATE PULLING TO THE RIGHT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
