## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT WAS ENROUTE FROM HARVEY FIELD (PAE) TO FELTS FIELD (SFF). APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES INTO THE FLIGHT THE ENGINE QUIT. PILOT UNSUCCESSFULLY ATTEMPTED TO RE-START THE ENGINE. HE ESTIMATED THAT HE WOULD NOT MAKE IT TO THE NEAREST AIRPORT AND DECIDED TO LAND IN A NEARBY FIELD. DURING THE LANDING, THE NOSE LANDING GEAR AND RT LANDING GEAR STRUCK FENCE POSTS AND THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED TO A STOP. THE PILOT EXITED THE AIRCRAFT WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR10LA196](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR10LA196), Apr 4, 2010: Cessna P210N (N3599P), Leavenworth, WA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The failure of the number two cylinder exhaust and intake valves for undetermined reasons, which resulted in a loss of engine power.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
