## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

MS. PERKINS STATED THAT SHE PUT THE GEAR HANDLE IN THE DOWN POSITION ON DOWNWIND BUT DID NOT VERIFY THAT THE GEAR DOWN LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED NOR DID SHE VISUALLY CHECK FOR A WHEEL BY LOOKING OUT THE WINDOW. UPON LANDING, THE PROPELLER STRUCK THE RUNWAY AND THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED DOWN THE RUNWAY, ON ITS BELLY, COMING TO REST IN THE GRASS BETWEEN THE RUNWAY AND TAXIWAY. ALL THREE GEAR WERE FOUND TO BE SLIGHTLY EXTENDED FROM THEIR UP AND LOCKED POSITION. THE POSITION OF THE GEAR HANDLE WAS DOWN AND THE GEAR UP WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED WHEN THE MASTER SWITCH WAS TURNED ON. AIRCRAFT WAS MOVED TO A MAINTENANCE FACILITY; LANDING GEAR WAS CYCLED WITH FAA PRESENT AND WAS FOUND TO BE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. THE GEAR WARNING HORN WAS ALSO FOUND TO BE FUNCTIONAL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
