## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON APRIL 11, 2010, AT 17:50 LOCAL TIME, AIRCRAFT REGISTRATION N9646Y, A BEECH 95-A55 MODEL, WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED AFTER IMPACTING THE GROUND DURING A FORCED LANDING, APPROXIMATELY ONE AND HALF MILES SOUTHWEST OF ANTONIO (NERY) JUARBE AIRPORT (ABO), IN ARECIBO, PUERTO RICO. THE PRIVATE PILOT/OWNER AND AND HIS WIFE, WHICH WERE THE ONLY OCCUPANTS WERE SERIOUSLY INJURED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA10LA222](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA10LA222), Apr 11, 2010: Beech 95-A55 (N9646Y), Arecibo, PR, substantial damage. Probable cause: A loss of engine power in one engine due to fuel starvation as a result of the pilot's improper fuel management, resulting in a forced landing in a field.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
