## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 14, 2010 AT APPROXIMATELY 1639 CDT, CRJ-900, N913FJ, OPERATED BY MESA AIRLINES UNDER US AIR FLIGHT 2980, EXPERIENCED A PARTIAL SEIZURE OF THE LEFT HAND INBOARD BRAKE ASSEMBLY WHILE TAXIING FROM RUNWAY 18 TO TAXIWAY DELTA AT OMAHA EPPLEY AIRFIELD. THE PIC ELECTED TO ABORT THE TAXI MANEUVER WITHOUT CLEARING THE SAFETY ZONE FOR RUNWAY 18. CONSEQUENTLY, OMAHA EPPLEY OPERATIONS PERSONNEL CLOSED THE RUNWAY AND SHUTTLED THE PASSENGERS TO THE TERMINAL. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL THEN RELEASED THE BRAKE PRESSURE AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS TOWED TO GATE 11 FOR FURTHER TROUBLESHOOTING. THE RUNWAY WAS REOPENED AT APPROXIMATELY 1810 CDT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
