## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PIC STATED THAT HE TURNED FINAL APPROACH ON SPEED AT 55 MPH AND NOTICED THAT THE GROUND CREW WAS MOVING A POWERED PARACHUTE OFF THE RUNWAY. HE MOMENTARILY THOUGHT ABOUT A GO AROUND BUT DECIDED NOT TO GO AROUND SINCE THE GROUND CREW WAS CLEAR OF THE RUNWAY.PIC ALSO STATED THAT HE NORMALLY LANDS WITH NO FLAPS, BUT DECIDED TO USE 1/3 FLAPS DUE TO THE SHORTER RUNWAY. WHEN HE ROUNDED OUT AND TRIED TO FLARE, THE AIRCRAFT STALLED, HIT THE GROUND ON THE NOSEWHEEL AND ROLLED TO THE LEFT AND STRUCK THE LEFT WING.THE NOSEWHEEL ASSEMBLY COLLAPSED AND THERE WAS STRUCTUAL DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING.AIRWORTHINESS INSPECTOR MIKE SINGLETON CONDUCTED A SATISFACTORY CONTINUITY CHECK ON THE ELEVATOR CONTROL SYSTEM.NO INJURY TO THE PIC WHO WAS THE SOLE OCCUPANT OF THE AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA10CA234](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA10CA234), Apr 16, 2010: Kramer Clemens E Stol CH750 (N148CK), Lakeland, FL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's improper flare, which resulted in a nosegear collapse during landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
