## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRCRAFT WAS BEING FERRIED UNDER FAR PART 91 WHEN APPARENTLY LOST ENGINE POWER WHILE AT 1500 FEET AGL AT CRUISE ALTITUDE. AN EMERGENCY LANDING WAS INITIATED AND LANDED IN A PISTACHIO ORCHARD CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT'S WING SPARS, PROPELLER AND ENGINE COMPONENTS. THERE APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN A LOSS OF OIL PRESSURE BY THE EVIDENCE OF OIL FOUND AROUND THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE PROPELLERS SUSTAINED DAMAGED TO TWO OF THE THREE PROPELLERS AND ALL PROPELLERS WERE FOUND IN A "FEATHERED" POSITION. THIS CONDITION INDICATES A LOSS OF OIL PRESSURE. THE ENGINE WAS INSPECTED INTERNALLY BY A REPRESENTATIVE OF PRATT & WHITNEY AND FOUND NO OBVIOUS REASONS FOR THE LOSS OF ENGINE POWER OR OIL PRESSURE. ONE IGNITOR HAD EVIDENCE OF A SOOTY OIL BUILD-UP. THE FUEL SELECTOR VALVE APPEARED TO HAVE DIFFICULTY IN MOVING THE FROM OFF TO ON.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
