## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT MADE A LOW PASS OVER A MISSING PERSON ON THE GROUND. AFTER SPOTTING THE MISSING PERSON THE PILOT LOOKED UP JUST IN TIME TO SEE TREES IN FRONT AND ABOVE HIM, MADE A HARD RIGHT HAND CLIMBING TURN AND THE AIRCRAFT STALLED AND HIT THE TREES. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE AND THE PILOT AND PASSENGER SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC10CA034](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC10CA034), May 1, 2010: Piper PA-18-150 (N6891B), Willow, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain adequate airspeed while maneuvering, which resulted in an aerodynamic stall.

## Other reports on N6891B (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
