## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MAY 6, 2010, AT APPROXIMATELY 1636 CDT, THE PILOT AND ONLY OCCUPANT OF N261BB, A MOONEY M20K, EXECUTED A LANDING ON RUNWAY 26 AT LUBBOCK PRESTON SMITH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (LBB).THE PILOT EXPERIENCED A GUST OF WIND DURING LANDING AND ELECTED TO ADD POWER AND GO AROUND. THE AIRCRAFT DRIFTED TO THE RIGHT OF THE RUNWAY, LOST ALTITUDE, AND TOUCHED DOWN IN A PLOWED FIELD ADJACENT TO THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST APPROXIMATELY 480 YARDS FROM THE RUNWAY CENTERLINE. THERE WAS DAMAGE TO THE LEFT MAIN GEAR, NOSE GEAR AND PROPELLER. THE PILOT WAS NOT INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
