## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT N101RU SERIAL NUMBER 01 EXPERIENCED RIGHT GEAR FAILURE ON LANDING IN HOMERVILLE, GA ON 5/12/2010. DURING INSPECTION THE RIGHT SHOCK STRUT LOWER ATTACH POINT APPEARED SHEARED AT THE WELDED LUG. LOWER STRUTS SHEARED 6 INCHES ABOVE WELDED ATTACH POINT. RIGHT FLAP TRAILING EDGE DAMAGED ALONG WITH LOWER WING SKIN AND TIP. BOTH SIDES OF THE AFT FUSELAGE ARE BADLY WRINKLED. ALL SIGNS INDICATE A HARD LANDING. SHOCK STRUT FITTINGS WERE SHIPPED TO THE NTSB FOR FAILURE ANALYST. AS OF 6/4/2010 WAITING ON ANALYST RESULTS. RECEIVED NTSB RESULTS 6/18/2010 AND THE FITTING FAILED DUE TO OVER STRESS. THIS SUPPORTS THE DETERMINATION OF A HARD LANDING.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA10LA263](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA10LA263), May 12, 2010: Hachem Zachery S E7 (N101RU), Homerville, GA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s improper flare, which resulted in a hard landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
