## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 5/14/2010 AIRCRAFT N180TX A CESSNA 180 ATTEMPTED TO TAKE OFF FROM AIRPORT 6B9 (SKANEATELES AERO DROME) ENROUTE TO N03 (CORTLAND). WHILE GOING DOWN RUNWAY 22 THE FRONT WHEELS (AIRCRAFT ON FLOATS) DUG INTO THE GRASS TURF AND THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER. THE PILOT REPORT HE THEN FOUND HIMSELF UPSIDE DOWN WITH THE ENGINE STILL RUNNING SLINGING MUD INTO THE COCKPIT/CABIN AREAS BECAUSE THE WINDSCREEN HAD BROKEN. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED DAMAGED TO BOTH FRONT GEAR, THE PROPELLER, WINDSCREEN, VERTICAL TAIL AND BOTH WINGS TOP LEADING EDGES MIDSECTION AREA (SKIN ONLY). THE AIRCRAFT ALSO RECEIVED DAMAGE WHILE ATTEMPTING TO FLIP THE AIRCRAFT BACK OVER IN THE AFT FUSELAGE AREA JUST BEHIND THE CARGO DOOR. THE SKIN WAS WRINKLED AND DENTED. NO INJURIES OCCURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
