## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

A REMOS LIGHT SPORT AIRCRAFT, PRIMARILY USED FOR INSTRUCTION OUT OF THE ORLANDO EXECUTIVE AIRPORT WAS CONDUCTING PATTERN WORK LOCALLY. AFTER COMPLETING TAKEOFFS AND LANDINGS, THE SUBJECT AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE AREA RETURNING TO THE ORLANDO. AFTER LANDING WITHOUT INCIDENT ON RUNWAY 13 AND DURING ROLL-OUT THE CREW FELT A BINDING IN THE UNDERCARRIAGE. THEY PERCEIVED IT TO BE A PUNCTURED TIRE OR BINDING OF THE WHEEL PANT. MAKING THE TURN OFF THE CENTERLINE, THE PILOT HEARD A CRUNCHING NOISE AND AIRCRAFT'S ATTITUDE ROTATED NOSE HIGH CAUSING THE LEFT WING TO DROOP. ALL FORWARD PROGRESS WAS HALTED. THE INITIAL INSPECTION REVEALED THAT THE LEFT MAIN GEAR LEG (STRUT) LOST STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY COLLAPSING WITH DAMAGE TO THE COMPOSITE GEAR LEG ASSEMBLY AND SUBSEQUENTLY DAMAGING THE UNDERSIDE OF THE HORIZONTAL STABILATOR. NO FURTHER DAMAGE WAS IDENTIFIED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
