## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRCRAFT WAS ON AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN WHEN THE PILOT ESTABLISHED A GPS APPROACH TO RUNWAY 18 AT MONETT MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (KHFJ), MONETT, MO. DURING DESCENT OUT OF THE CLOUDS, THE PILOT ENCOUNTERED A FLOCK OF GEESE IN HIS PATH. THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT STRIKE ANY GEESE, BUT THE PILOT BECAME DISTRACTED AND NEGLECTED TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR IN PREPARATION FOR LANDING. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 18 WITH THE LANDING GEAR STILL RETRACTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
