## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MAY 22, 2010, AT OLYMPIA AIRPORT, TUMWATER, WA, AT 1457 PDT, TAD SANTINO WAS IN LANDING FLARE CONFIGURATION ON RUNWAY 17 AND THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK A HAWK. PILOT SUBMITTED BIRD STRIKE REPORT. THE DAMAGED AREA WAS THE RIGHT WING ABOUT 3 FEET INBOARD FROM THE WING TIP ON THE LEADING EDGE. PILOT STATED DAMAGE WAS MINOR AND MISSED THE RIVET SEAM. ASI INSPECTION OF DAMAGE CONFIRMED DAMAGE AS MINOR AND REPORTED THIS INFORMATION TO THE NTSB IIC.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
