## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MAY 23, 2010 AT 16OOL AN EAA BI-PLANE N42JC, REGISTERED TO DAVID L STEVENS LANDED AT RICHMOND, INDIANA (RID). THE AIRCRAFT VEERED OFF OF THE RUNWAY ONTO A SECONDARY PAVED SURFACE AND DID A 270 DEGREE GROUND LOOP. A LARGE EXPANSION JOINT IN THE CONCRETE CAUSED THE LEFT GEAR TIRE TO ROLL OFF OF THE WHEEL RIM. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO BOTH WING TIP'S LOWER SURFACES AFTER THE RH GEAR COLLAPSED. THE PILOT WAS NOT INJURED. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED AT HAGGERSTOWN, INDIANA (I61).

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
