## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT REPORTED HE WAS FLYING A PITTS S-2B AT ASHTABULA AIRPORT (HZY), PRACTICING TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS ON RUNWAY 08 WITH HIS FATHER IN THE OTHER SEAT. WINDS WERE 360 DEGREES AT 4 KNOTS. AFTER LANDING WENT TO THE RIGHT AND HIT ONE RUNWAY LIGHT, BUT DID NOT GO OFF THE PAVEMENT. HE REPORTED THEY DID NOT KNOW THEY HAD SUSTAINED ANY DAMAGE AND CONTINUED TO MAKE A FEW MORE TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS. THEY THEN RETURNED TO THEIR HOME STRIP, 0OI6, FOUR MILES NORTHEAST OF HZY. AT THAT TIME THEY DISCOVERED THE DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT WING. THEY CALLED HZY TO INFORM THEM THAT A RUNWAY LIGHT WAS PROBABLY DAMAGED. THEY REPORTED THE INCIDENT TO THE CLEVELAND FSDO, AND MADE ARRANGEMENTS TO HAVE AN A&P MECHANIC INSPECT THE AIRCRAFT TO DETERMINE THE DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
