## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MAY 29, 2010 AT 0930 LCL (1530Z), N151YZ, A RANS S-6S COYOTE II, PILOTED BY CURTIS BAGLEY (CERT# 2790935), WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WHILE LANDING ON A DIRT ROAD NORTHWEST OF KOOSHAREM, UT (APPROXIMATELY 30 MILES SOUTH EAST OF RICHFIELD, UT). WHILE ON FINAL APPROACH, THE PILOT EXPERIENCED A RIGHT QUARTERING HEADWIND THAT RESULTED IN AN UNEXPECTED INCREASED DESCENT. AS THE AIRCRAFT DECELERATED AFTER TOUCHDOWN, THE PILOT SAW A ROAD SIGN ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD. HE APPLIED RIGHT RUDDER BUT WAS UNABLE TO CLEAR THE SIGN WHICH IMPACTED HIS LEFT WING TIP. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE ROAD TO THE LEFT, HIT A DIRT BURM, AND CAME TO REST INVERTED CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. THERE WERE TWO PEOPLE ON BOARD WITH NO INJURIES.
