## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT TOUCHDOWN ON RUNWAY 6 AT MJX, A GUST OF WIND CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO DRIFT TOWARDS THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT ADDED RIGHT RUDDER AND SMALL AMOUNT OF RIGHT BRAKE. THE PASSENGER MOVED THE THROTTLE AND ADDED POWER. THE AIRCRAFT OVER CORRECTED AND TURNED RIGHT, CONTINUED TO TURN AND WENT OFF THE RUNWAY ONTO SANDY SOIL. AT APPROXIMATELY 150 FEET FROM THE RUNWAY, THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR DUG INTO THE SOFT GROUND AND THE SPRING SHEARED OFF. THE LEFT WING CONTACTED THE GROUND. THE PROPELLER CONTACTED THE GROUND WHICH RESULTED IN SUDDEN STOPPAGE OF THE ENGINE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA10CA304](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA10CA304), Jun 8, 2010: Cessna 305A (N5075K), Toms River, NJ, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot-in-command's loss of airplane control during landing, which resulted in a ground-loop.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
