## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

A BANNER TOW CABLE AND HOOK SEPARATED FROM N643G WHILE ON LEFT BASE TO RUNWAY 18 AT 1C5 AND PENETRATED THE ROOF OF 1025 CHUCHILL DRIVE BOLINGBROOK, ILLINOIS 60440. NO DAMAGE WAS CAUSED TO N643G. NO ACCIDENT OR INJURIES TO PERSONS ENSUED. THE BANNER TOW RELEASE HANDLE WAS MIS-RIGGED ALLOWING THE OPERATOR TO RELEASE THE BANNER BY EITHER PUSHING OR PULLING THE HANDLE INSTEAD OF THE INTENDED PULLING ACTION ONLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
