WHILE MANUEVERING IN THE PATTERN FOR LANDING AT MAY, ID THE PILOT ALLOWED HIS AIRCRAFT TO ENTER A STALL AT 200 FT AGL AND MADE 1/2 ROTATION IN A SPIN FROM WHICH HE WAS UNABLE TO RECOVER AND IMACTED THE GROUND.THE ACCIDENT AIRCRAFT AND 2 OTHER AIRCRAFT WERE FLYING TOGETHER. THEY HAD STOPPED IN CHALLIS, ID FOR FUEL AND WERE LANDING IN MAY, ID FOR LUNCH. THE OCCUPANTS OF THE AIRCRAFT THAT HAD LANDED FIRST WERE WATCHING THE ACCIDENT AIRCRAFT LAND. AFTER THE TURN TO THE CROSSWIND THE PILOT ALLOWED THE AIRCRAFT TO SLOW AND THE AIRCRAFT STALLED AND SPUN. THE AIRCRAFT MADE A 1/2 ROTATION TO THE LF AND IMPACTED THE GROUND AT A 70 TO 80 DEGREE ANGLE. THE HEADING OF THE AIRCRAFT AT REST WAS 225 DEGREES.
