## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JUNE 19, 2010 ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ FILED A FLIGHT PLAN TO FLY FROM KFNL, FORT COLLINS/LOVELAND COLORADO, NEAR DENVER TO HENDERSON EXECUTIVE AIRPORT, NEVADA. FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE REPORT HE KNEW IT WAS GOING TO BE WINDY ON THE WAY INTO THE LAS VEGAS VALLEY. THE WIND WAS MUCH STRONGER THAN HE ANTICIPATED AS HE ENTERED THE LAS VEGAS VALLEY AREA. THE WIND GUSTS HAD DISTRACTED HIS ATTENTION TO FLYING THAT HE FORGOT TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR WHEN HE APPROACHED KHND, HENDERSON EXECUTIVE AIRPORT TO LAND. HE LANDED THE AIRCRAFT ON ITS BELLY WITH ONLY APPARENT DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT SKIN. HOWEVER, ALL THREE PROPELLER BLADES MADE CONTACT WITH THE GROUND BENDING THE LAST 6 TO 8 INCHES OF EACH PROPELLER INTO A CURL. ONE BLADE CURLLED FORWARD THE OTHER TWO BLADES WERE BENT IN A CURL BACKWARDS. THERE IS A FAA FORM 1360-33 ON FILE FOR MORE DETAILS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
