## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT DEPARTED ON A LOCAL FLIGHT WITHOUT INCIDENT. AS HE ENTERED THE LEFT TRAFFIC FOR RUNWAY 15 AND MADE A VISUAL APPROACH TO THE GRASS RUNWAY HE WAS USING ADJACENT TO THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT ADMITTED TO FLARING THE AIRPLANE HIGH, AND LANDED HARD IN THE GRASS SEPARATING THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR. HE STATED HE LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL OF THE AIRPLANE AS IT NOSED OVER INVERTED AND CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. THERE WERE NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS IDENTIFIED WITH THE AIRPLANE AT ANY TIME DURING LANDING.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
