## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE STUDENT PILOT LANDED ON RUNWAY 25 WITH A SLIGHT RIGHT CROSSWIND. HE FLARED AND TOUCHED DOWN MAINS FIRST BUT SLIGHTLY NOSE LOW. WHEN THE NOSE TOUCHED THE PLANE PITCHED BACK. HE APPLIED POWER TO EASE THE DESENT AFTER THE BALLOON. THE MAINS TOUCHED AND HE HELD BACKPRESSURE TO KEEP THE NOSE OFF. WHEN THE NOSE LOWERED HE HEARD A GRINDING SOUND AND THE PLANE BEGAN TO BUCK. THE PLANE VEERED TO THE LEFT AND THE PROPELLER STRUCK THE RUNWAY.
