## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JUNE 30, 2010, EMIL BRAYDEN, A STUDENT PILOT, INADVERTENTLY DEPARTED THE PAVED SURFACE OF RUNWAY 33 AT ADS AIRPORT DURING HIS FIRST SUPERVISED SOLO FLIGHT. THERE WAS A DIRECT 8 KTS CROSS WIND AT THE TIME. THE STUDENT TOUCHED DOWN CLOSE TO THE EDGE OF THE RUNWAY, AND DRIFTED ONTO THE GRASS DURING ROLL OUT. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT OR AIRPORT PROPERTY. THE STUDENT'S INSTRUCTOR WILL BE GIVING ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTION IN CROSS WIND LANDINGS PRIOR TO HIS NEXT AUTHORIZED SOLO FLIGHT.07/01/10: STUDENT HAS RECEIVED ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTION ACCORDING TO HIS LOGBOOK. INSTRUCTOR PLANS ON AT LEAST 2 ADDITIONAL LESSONS PRIOR TO NEXT SOLO FLIGHT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
