## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOTS WERE ON A FLIGHT FROM MLB TO FPR. DURING THEIR APPROACH TO FPR, THEY WERE DISTRACTED BY TRYING TO ACTIVATE THE RIUNWAY LIGHTS, OBTAINING A VISUAL ON THE AIRPORT, AND LOOKING FOR TRAFFIC. THEY FORGOT TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR AND DID NOT REALIZE IT UNTIL BOTH PROPELLERS STRUCK THE RUNWAY. STRIKING THE RUNWAY, THE PILOT DECIDED TO PERFORM A GO AROUND BECAUSE HE OBSERVED THE SPARKS FROM THE PROPELLER TIPS IMPACTING THE RUNWAY. DURING THE GO AROUND THEY REALIZED THAT THE GEAR WAS NOT DOWN. THEY IMMEDIATELY LOWERED THE LANDING GEAR AND LANDED ON RUNWAY 32. THIS LANDING WAS ACCOMPLISHED BY THE SAFETY PILOT WITHOUT INCIDENT."AIRCRAFT ONLY SUSTAINED PHYSICAL DAMAGE TO BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT PROPELLERS AND THEIR RESPCTIVE ENGINES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
