## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PART 137 AIRCRAFT DEPARTED RUNWAY 14 AT THE CHILLICOTHE AIRPORT (CHT) CLOSE TO MAXIMUM GROSS WEIGHT, WITH A CHEMICAL LOAD ONBOARD. WHILE CLIMBING OUT OF GROUND EFFECT (20-30 FEET AGL), THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO SETTLE BACK TO THE GROUND AND CRASHED APPROXIMATELY 100 YARDS SOUTH OF THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER AND CAME TO REST INVERTED. THE ENGINE SEPARATED FROM THE AIRFRAME AND THE TAIL SECTION WAS CRUSHED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN10CA386](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN10CA386), Jul 9, 2010: Grumman Acft ENG Cor-Schweizer G-164B (N6513K), Chillicothe, MO, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain aircraft control during takeoff.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
