## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THIS WAS INITIAL FLIGHT IN THE AMATEUR BUILT AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT DID NOT REPORT A CONTROLABILITY OR ENGINE PROBLEM. THE PILOT HAD PERFORMED A GO-AROUND DUE TO LOCAL TRAFFIC AND WAS RETURNING TO LAND. ON SHORT FINAL APPROACH AT ABOUT 300 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND, THE ENGINE NOISE REDUCED, THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT DROPPED, THE RIGHT WING DROPPED AND THE AIRPLANE ENTERED A SPIN TO THE RIGHT. THE AIRPLANE ROTATED 180 DEGREES AND IMPACTED THE GROUND. THE PILOT WAS FATALLY INJURED AND THE AIRCRAT BURNED. THE PILOT HELD A COMMERCIAL PILOT CERTIFICATE BUT WAS EXERCISING AS A SPORT PILOT BECAUSE OF NO MEDICAL.
