## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRMAN WAS LANDING IN A SLIGHT CROSSWIND AT A ROUGH LANDING STRIP WITH GRAVEL IN A DITCH TO THE LEFT SIDE. THE AIRCRAFT HIT SOFT AREA WHICH CAUSED THE LEFT GEAR TO GO INTO THE DITCH. THE AIRCRAFT NOSED OVER CAUSING STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT (ACCORDING TO THE NTSB).

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC10CA091](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC10CA091), Jul 15, 2010: Avions Max Holste MH 1521 Broussard (N5833E), Skwentna, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's inadequate crosswind compensation, which resulted in a loss of directional control.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
