## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

UPON RETURNING TO LAND AT MADISON AND CLEARED TO LAND ON RUNWAY 18. WIND WAS OUT OF 210 AT APPROXIMATLY 10 KNOTS. PILOT PUT THE GEAR DOWN AND PERFORMED LANDING CHECKLIST, IT WAS LIGHTLY GUSTY DURING APPROACH. AT ABOUT 20 FOOT THE SINK RATE INCREASED. PILOT APPLIED FULL POWER AND FULL AFT STICK TO REDUCE SINK RATE, BUT LANDED HARD. WHEN THE NOSE WHEEL HIT THE GROUND THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
