## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRPORT AUTHORITY CHANGED THE ARRIVAL GATE DUE TO RAMP MAINTENANCE. NEW GATE DID NOT HAVE STOP MARKINGS FOR DHC-8-100. THE GUIDE MAN WAS TOLD TO USE A CRACK IN THE PAVEMENT AS THE STOPPING POINT. THE GROUND EQUIPMENT WAS PREPOSITIONED FOR THE ARRIVAL. DURING THE BLOCK-IN SEQUENCE THE GUIDE MAN FORGOT TO STOP THE AIRCRAFT ON THE PAVEMENT CRACK AND DIRECTED THE PLANE TOWARD A DHC-8-400 STOP MARK. THE PREPOSITIONED GPU WAS INLINE WITH THE NUMBER 1 ENGINE WHOSE PROPELLER CONSEQUENTLY STRUCK THE GPU TOW BAR. THE PROP WAS DAMAGED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
