## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

UAL 799 CAME TO AN ABRUPT STOP TO AVOID BTA 5818 WHO FAILED TO HOLD SHORT OF TAXIWAY "B" AS INSTRUCTED. FLIGHT CREW CONTACTED PURSER ASKING IF THERE WERE ANY INJURIES IN THE CABIN. PURSER TOLD FLIGHT CREW THEY WERE FINE BUT WOULD BE WRITING A REPORT. AFTER LEVELING OFF AT CRUISE, FLIGHT CREW WAS ONLY THEN INFORMED OF MINOR INJURIES TO 4 FLIGHT ATTENDANTS. UPON ARRIVAL IN MCO THEY WERE CHECKED BY PARAMEDICS AS ALL REPORTED NECK AND BACK SORENESS. THERE IS NOT SUFFICIANT EVIDENCE TO PROVE THAT BTA 5818 UNDERSTOOD THEIR HOLD SHORT INSTRUCTION OF TAXIWAY BRAVO SINCE THE CONTROLLER DID NOT WAIT OR REQUIRE A READBACK.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
