## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT LOST CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT ON THE TAKE OFF ROLL. THE AIRCRAFT VEERED TO THE LEFT AT APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH. THE PILOT OVER CORRECTED AND THE AIRCRAFT TURNED VIOLENTLY TO THE LEFT AND ALMOST CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. INERTIA CAUSED THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR TO COLLAPSE CAUSING THE RIGHT WING, RIGHT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER AND PROP TO STRIKE THE GROUND. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST OFF THE RUNWAY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA10CA397](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA10CA397), Aug 1, 2010: Luscombe 8C (N4113M), Zelienople, PA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's loss of directional control while taking off with a gusting wind.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
