PILOT SELECTED THE FOLLOWING (WING FLAPS, UP AND COWL FLAPS CLOSED)PILOT FELT AIRCRAFT WAS NOT PERFORMING AS IT SHOULD AND ABORTED TAKEOFF.AIRCRAFT SKIDED 1,470 FEET ON THE RUNWAY AND CAME TO REST OFF THE END OF THE RUNWAY. PILOT AND PASSENGER ESCAPED THROUGH BAGGAGE DOOR AND SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA10CA388](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA10CA388), Aug 1, 2010: Cessna 177B (N34641), Middleberry, VT, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s delayed decision to abort the takeoff.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
