## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT APPRROXIMATELY 1600 HRS, AUGUST 20, 2010. ACCORDING TO THE PILOT DURING THE TAKE-OFF PRIOR TO LIFT OFF, THE AIRCRAFT BECAME AIRBORNE AFTER HITTING A BOAT WAKE WITHOUT PROPER AIRSPEED. THE AIRCRAFT THEN BOUNCED TWICE, PRIOR TO A HEAVY NOSE DOWN CONTACT IN THE WATER CAUSING IMPACT DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE FORWARD NOSE BULKHEAD.THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO TAXI THE AIRCRAFT BACK TO THEIR HOME DOCK. THIS IS WHERE THE AIRCRAFT SANK IN APPROXIMATELY TWO FEET OF WATER .THE PILOT AND PASSENGER WERE UNINJURED AND THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
