## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ACCORDING TO THE PILOT, HE ATTEMPTED TO LAND ON A DIRT STRIP AT THE BASE OF MOUNT SPUR. JUST PRIOR TO TOUCH DOWN HE REALIZED THE STRIP HAD AN UPWARD SLOPE AND WAS UNABLE TO MAKE CORRECTIVE ACTION PRIOR TO LANDING HARD WHICH CAUSED THE RIGHT LANDING GEAR TO COLLAPSE WITH A SUBSEQUENT PROP STRIKE. THE RIGHT WING TIP ALSO RCEIVED MINOR DAMAGE. THE DAMAGE REPORTED BY THE PILOT WAS CONFIRMED BY THE INVESTIGATING ASI FROM THE FAA.

Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
