## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER LANDING WHILE TAXIING TO PARKING THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR WHEEL SEPERATED FROM THE AIRCRAFT CAUSING THE RIGHT WING TO CONTACT THE GROUND. INVESTIGATION REVEALED THE INNER WHEEL FLANGE FAILED AT THE WHEEL BEARING RACE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC10LA081](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC10LA081), Aug 29, 2010: Stinson 108-2 (N9569K), Port Alsworth, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The overstress fracture and failure of a main landing gear wheel during landing, resulting in the right wing striking the ground.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
