As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT WAS FLYING HIS EXPERIMENTAL AMATEUR BUILT VELOCITY AIRCRAFT N112TH FROM SOMERSET PA (2G9) TO WAYNE COUNTY AIRPORT (BJJ) AT ABOUT 3200'FT HIS ENGINE STOPPED RUNNING SO THE PILOT LANDED THE AIRCRAFT ABOUT 2 MILES SOUTH OF WAYNE COUNTY AIRPORT IN A FARMERS BEAN FIELD WITH SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT'S WIFE TOOK HIM TO THE HOSPITAL THAT EVENING WHERE THEY FOUND THAT HE HAD SOME BACK INJURIES.WHILE INSPECTING THE AIRCRAFT IN THE FIELD I FOUND THAT THE LEFT SIDE INTERNAL FUEL SITE GUAGE WAS INDICATING 12 GALLONS AND THE RIGHT SIDE SHOWED 10 GALLONS THE ELECTRONIC FUEL MONITORING SYSTEM IN THE AIRCRAFT WAS SHOWING 13.9 GALLONS BUT WHEN I VISUALLY LOOKED IN THE LEFT AND RIGHT FUEL TANKS THEY WERE EMPTY.THE PILOT HAD TOLD ME HE DID NOT OPEN THE FUEL TANKS AND VISUALLY VERIFY FUEL QUANTITY BECAUSE OF THE SITE GAUGES INSTALLED INSIDE THE AIRCRAFTAFTER THE AIRCRAFT WAS MOVED TO HIS HANGER I ALSO NOTED THAT HIS SIGHT GAUGES WERE STILL INDICATING 5 GALLONS IN EACH TANK
