## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE SIGHTSEEING AIRCRAFT TOOK OFF FROM KITTYHAWK AIRPORT, ALLEN, TX WITH 4 PASSENGERS. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO LAND AT AN OPEN FIELD AJACENT TO CARROLL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NORTH OF THRONE HALL DRIVE OFF OF LEGACY DRIVE, IN FRISCO, TX. THE AIRCRAFT ENCOUNTERED SIGNIFICANT WIND, 20 KNOTS, BOUNCED THREE TIMES AND IMPACTED A FENCE. THE BALLOON POPPED OVER THE FENCE AND ENDED UP ON A PATIO AT 9908 QUEEN ANNE CIRCLE, FRISCO, TX. THE ENVELOPE DRAPED OVER THE HOUSE. THE GROUND CREW IMMEDIATELY REMOVED THE BALLOON FROM THIS LOCATION. LAW ENFORCEMENT ARRIVED, BUT THE BALLOON HAD ALREADY BEEN MOVED. MINOR DAMAGE WAS FOUND ON THE HOUSE. THERE WAS NO REPORTED INJURIES IMMEDIATELY. ON 9/13/2010 INJURIES WERE REPORTED ON AN 8 YEAR OLD PASSENGER, AND MINOR INJURIES TO TWO OTHER PASSENGERS. AFTER A REVIEW OF THE SCENE, AND INTERVIEW WITH THE PILOT, WENT TO SOUTHFORK HOTEL TO VIEW THE AIRCRAFT. THE BALLOON WAS PACKED IN A VAN. THE BASKET WAS INSPECTED AN NO DAMAGE WAS FOUND. THE PILOT WAS UNABLE TO MANAGE THE AIRCRAFT DURING THE LANDING SEQUENCE WITH THE KNOWN 17- 20 KNOT WINDS, IN THE LANDING SIGHT SELECTED. THE PROPANE TANK DOES NOT HAVE A POSITIVE UPWARD SECURING METHOD.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
