## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ PLANNED HIS FLIGHT AS REQUIRED BY REGULATIONS REGARDING FUEL RESERVE AND OBTAINED A PREFLIGHT BRIEFING. HIS CALCULATIONS GAVE HIM A PLANNED 30-MINUTE FUEL RESERVE AT HIS DESTINATION. HOWEVER, HE ENCOUNTERED STRONGER THAN FORECAST HEADWINDS AND HIS FLIGHT TOOK LONGER THAN PLANNED, EXHAUSTING HIS FUEL SUPPLY. THE ENGINE QUIT, AND HE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED A FORCED LANDING ON A ROAD, 2 MILES NE OF THE MARYVILLE NORTHWEST REGIONAL AIRPORT (KEVU) MARYVILLE, MO.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
