## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PIC WHILE CONDUCTING A PLEASURE FLIGHT FAILED TO EXTEND HIS LANDING GEAR. HE STATED THAT HE WAS UNSURE OF THE GEAR LIGHT INDICATION AT THE TIME OF TOUCHDOWN. THE AIRCRAFT'S LOWER ANTENNA AND GEAR DOORS STRUCK THE GROUND FIRST, THE PILOT RETARDED THE POWER THAT'S WHEN THE PROPELLER STRUCK THE GROUND AND THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP ON RUNWAY5. THE PIC INDICATED HE WAS UNAWARE OF THE SPEED AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT. STRUCTURAL DAMAGE WAS MINIMAL CONFINED TO GEAR DOORS, ANTENNA'S AND SKIN. THE SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE WAS TO THE PROPELLER BLADES. FURTHER INPECTION DETERMINED THE LANDING GEAR HAS A RECURRING A.D. 2007-08-08 THAT COVERS POSSIBLE SEIZURE OF THE UPLOCK ROLLER & COMPLIED WITH ON 10/30/2009. I ALSO WAS INFORMED THAT THE SAME PILOT FLEW THE AIRCRAFT THE DAY BEFORE AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. SINCE THEN AND BECAUSE OF THIS INCIDENT, THE AIRCRAFT WAS PUT ON JACKS AND COMPLETED A RETRACTION / EXTENSION CHECK WITHOUT DEFECT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
