## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

SHORTLY AFTER TAKEOFF, THE AIRCRAFT ENTERED A STALL/SPIN AND CRASHED APPROXIATELY 1 MILE WEST OF THE CLARION IOWA AIRPORT (CAV). EVIDENCE OF OIL FROM AN ENGINE WAS SEEN ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE FUSELAGE AFT OF THE LEFT WING. AN EYE WITNESS STATED THAT THE AIRCRAFT WAS SPINNING COUNTER CLOCK WISE AND NOSE DOWN PRIOR TO IMPACTING THE GROUND. THE LANDING GEAR WAS IN THE DOWN POSITION AND THE FLAPS WERE AT 10 DEGREES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
