## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE OPERATOR OF THE AIRCRAFT REPORTED THAT JUST AFTER A NORMAL TOUCHDOWN ON CENTERLINE AT MCKINNEY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, HE NOTICED A SLIGHT SHIMMY WITH NO BRAKES APPLIED. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE APPLIED BACK PRESSURE TO THE ELEVATOR TO REDUCE THE SHIMMY. AFTER APPLYING BACK PRESSURE TO THE ELEVATOR, THE RIGHT MAIN TIRE BLEW AND THE AIRCRAFT PULLED TO THE RIGHT. HE APPLIED LEFT BRAKE UNTIL THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP 20° FROM THE CENTERLINE OF THE RUNWAY. THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR WHEEL AND TIRE ASSEMBLY WAS INSPECTED AND THE WHEEL HALVES WERE FOUND TO HAVE SEPARATED, PUNCTURING THE RIGHT MAIN TIRE AND SEVERING THE RIGHT MAIN BRAKE LINE AT THE BRAKE CYLINDER ATTACH POINT. NO OTHER AIRCRAFT DAMAGE WAS NOTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
