## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT AND AN EYEWITNESS STATED THAT THE AIRPLANE TOUCHED DOWN ABOUT HALF WAY DOWN THE 2320 FT GRASS RUNWAY 04. THE WIND REPORTS FOR THE AREA AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT WERE FROM THE WEST TO NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 10 KNOTS. THERE IS NO WEATHER REPORTING ON THE FIELD. AFTER TOUCHDOWN, THE AIRCRAFT FAILED TO DECELERATE. THE PILOT STATES THAT HIS KNEE BUMPED THE THROTTLE, ADDING POWER. HE DID NOT RECOGNIZE THIS FOR A FEW SECONDS WHICH CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO HAVE A LONGER THAN NORMAL LANDING ROLL. THE LEFT MAIN GEAR CAUGHT A TIRE MARKING THE EDGE OF THE RUNWAY WHICH CAUSED THE PILOT TO LOSE CONTROL. THE AIRPLANE THEN WENT OVER A GRAVEL ROAD CAUSING IT TO BECOME AIRBORNE MOMENTARILY. THE WINGTIP HIT THE GRASS AND THEN THE AIRCRAFT CAME DOWN AND STOPPED. THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED ON THE FINAL IMPACT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN11CA052](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN11CA052), Oct 29, 2010: Costruzioni Aeronautiche Tecna P2004 Bravo (N619CS), Stockport, OH, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's inadvertent movement of the throttle control during landing, which resulted in an increase in power and excursion from the runway.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
