## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON OCTOBER 31, 2010, N8039V, A ROCKWELL INTERNATIONAL S-2R (THRUSH) HIT A POWERLINE DURING A PULL-UP WHILE SPRAYING A FIELD. THE WIRE HIT MIDWAY ON THE PROPELLER CAUSING MINOR NICKS TO THE PROPELLER. THE WIRE WHIPPED ONTO THE RIGHT WING CAUSING MINOR DENTS TO THE TOP AND BOTTOM OF THE WING. THE WIRE SLID DOWN THE LEADING EDGE AND CAUGHT ON A SEAM AT THE WING TIP AND TORE A TWO FOOT SECTION OUT OF THE LEADING EDGE OF THE WING TIP. THE PILOT STATED TREES AT THE END OF THE FIELD OBSTRUCTED HIS VISION OF THE TELEPHONE POLES AND LINES. THE PILOT FLEW THE AIRCRAFT BACK TO LAMESA MUNICIPAL AIRPORT WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. NO INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED IN THIS EVENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
