^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS FLYING THE A/C FROM ONTARIO, CANADA TO OCALA FLORIDA FOR A FRIEND.^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED THAT HE WAS LANDING ON RUNWAY 12 AND FORGOT TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR. THE A/C IS AN AMPHIBIOUS DESIGN THAT RESEMBLES A BOAT HULL WITH THE ENGINE MOUNTED UP AND AFT OF THE MAIN WING AND IS A PUSHER PROP. THE DAMAGE TO THE A/C WAS MINOR. THE KEEL WAS DAMAGED IN TWO AREAS FROM SCRAPING THE RUNWAY. AN AREA APPX FOUR INCHES WIDE BY TEN INCHES LONG AT THE AFT-MOST KEEL, AND A PORTION OF IT WAS DAMAGED BELOW THE BOW APPX THREE INCHES BY EIGHT INCHES. NEITHER AREA WAS SEVERELY WORN IN DEPTH OF MATERIAL THAT MAKES UP THE KEEL AREA. THERE WAS ALSO MINOR DAMAGE PRESENT ON THE LEFT SIDE CHINE FROM SCRAPING THE RUNWAY. THERE IS NO OTHER DAMAGE NOTED ON THE REMAINDER OF THE HULL, AIRFRAME OR SPONSONS. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE RUNWAY OR THE RUNWAY LIGHTING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
