## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT HAD TO BE STARTED FROM GROUND EQUIPMENT AIR START CART DUE TO AN INOPERATIVE APU. AFTER ENGINE START, GROUND CREW PERSONNEL STARTED TO MOVE THE AIR START CART FROM THE AREA PRIOR TO DISCONNECTING THE AIR SUPPLY DUCT FROM THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE FROM THE DUCT BEING CONNECTED TO THE AIRCRAFT AS THE CART WAS BEING PULLED AWAY. A HOLE WAS TORN INTO THE AIRCRAFT FUSELAGE APPROXIMATELY 15" X 15" BELOW THE LEFT ENGINE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
