## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE CONDUCTING DUAL NIGHT LESSONS, THE STUDENT AND INSTRUCTOR WERE PRACTICING FULL STOP LANDINGS, TAXI BACK AND GO AROUNDS WHILE AT THE MERRIT ISLAND AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT BELONGS TO FIT A FLIGHT SCHOOL IN MELBOURNE, FL. THERE WAS NO OTHER TRAFFIC IN THE PATTERN. THEY STATED THEY REMAINED IN THE TRAFFIC PATTERN OF RUNWAY 29 AND WAS MAKING LEFT TURNS. THE AIRPORT WEATHER CONDITION AT THE TIME WAS LIGHT DRIZZLE WITH CHOPPY WINDS. THE CREW HAD ALREADY MADE SEVERAL TOUCH AND GO'S A WELL AS FULL STOP LANDINGS. ON THE LAST ATTEMPT THEY RECALL THE STALL WARNING HORN SOUNDING. THE NOISE FROM THE STALL WARNING ALARMED THE STUDENT & HE REACTED BY ADDING POWER AND PITCHING DOWN AND THIS CAUSING A HARD LANDING. DURING INSPECTION WITH FLASH LIGHTS, IT APPEARED NO EVIDENCE OF DAMAGE. THE CREW OF THREE THEN DECIDED TO FLY THE AIRCRAFT BACK TO MELBOURNE AIRPORT. FURTHER INSPECTION BY THE MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL, IDENTIFIED MINOR DAMAGE PRESENT, TO THE NOSE FORK IN WHICH WAS BENT, BOTH MAIN GEAR LOWER STRUTS WERE CRACKED AND THE ENGINE MOUNT SUSTAINED DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
