## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON NOVEMBER 08, 2010 A BEECHCRAFT BE-1900D, N971E, OPERATED BY ERA AVIATION (ERAA) UNDER 14CFR PART 121 DEPARTED ANCHORAGE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (PNAC) ON RUNWAY 32, AT 1823 LOCAL. DURING THE CLIMB PHASE OF THE FLIGHT, SMOKE ENTERED THE CABIN, THE PILOT DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND RETURNED TO PANC LANDING ON RUNWAY 7L, AT 1831 LOCAL TIME. PILOT EXITED THE RUNWAY ONTO TAXIWAY G AND STOPPED THE AIRPLANE TO ASSESS THE SITUATION, WHERE UPON THE PILOT MADE THE DECISION TO EVACUATE THE AIRPLANE. SEVENTEEN PASSENGERS AND TWO CREW EVACUATED THE AIRPLANE WITHOUT INCIDENT OR INJURIES. AIRPLANE WAS MOVED TO THE ERA AVIATION MAINTENACE HANGAR FOR REPAIRS. AFTER TROUBLE SHOOTING, MAINTENANCE FOUND THAT THE FORWARD CABIN BLOWER LOCATED UNDER THE CABIN FLOOR HAD FAILED CREATING THE SMOKE IN THE CABIN. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE CABIN BLOWER ASSEMBLY AND THE AIRPLANE WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
